Bloganuary Day 1: My Biggest Challenges

What are your biggest challenges?

2023 has been a challenging year for me, as I step into the new year, I can’t help but take a look at my challenges.

The thing about challenges is that in a way, you can pick yours. A good challenge could be a great way to stay motivated and driven; an effective tool that could help one in achieving their goals.

Here are some of the challenges I have set for myself in 2024:

  • I am ambitious by nature, I have set myself some big challenges professionally in 2024. I won’t bore you with the details, but let’s justvsay that I have enough on my plate to keep myself occupied and challenged.
  • I want to focus on my health and would like to achieve some optimal health levels this year. My goals are ambitious, so yeah, that’s a challenge.
  • I would like to run a marathon in the near future, in my current physical shape, it is a challenge. I will start with a 10k this year, and will graduate to running a marathon soon!
  • The other challenge I have set for myself is to practice radical self-care. I know it doesn’t seem like a challenge, but it is for me. This year, I have challenged me to focus on myself more and to take good care of my own mind and self

Let’s see how these challenges unroll!

This post was written as part of the Bloganuary challenge of WordPress.com. Bloganuary is a month-long challenge, where bloggers are challenged to write a new blog post every day, based on a daily writing prompt. You will need a WordPress.com account to get the prompts, but you can blog on any platform of your choice – OR even journal privately. Oh btw, there is no bloganuary police – so you can pick your own prompts if you wish to!

True, Hari, I just read your blog of August 6. I trust the love and wisdom in it keeps you in full strength. I have similar experience with my mother-in-law, now 97 years young. My six cats are still young and feisty but ultimately your experience is my future. Let’s stand together in faith. Regards to your family.

Thank you for the kind words once again, Rose2palm. Thanks for sharing about your own experience with your mother in law and your cats (I love how you mentioned “97 years young!” – what an attitude!) Faith is something that connects us all, and I hope you have all the strength to trudge onward in life. Much love and regards right back at you!

Thank you! I’m super-excited about it. I want to really start small with 5ks and 10ks this year. If I do them well, I would like to graduate to half marathons and eventually even run a full marathon. Let’s see how that turns out!

Thank you so much for your kind words and the vote of confidence, Moumita. The marathon is quite the goal and I’m not sure how it is going to work out. But let’s see!
