Do I have a memory that’s linked to a smell? Of course! And so many of them too!
The one that really hits me is this particular smell of one of my wife’s perfumes. She used it while we were in Berlin in 2016. I forget the brand and the flavour, but I remember it being very endearing, even enchanting. She apparently bought that brand for that trip (which was incidentally the first time both of us travelled to Europe, and travelled outside of India together). She would use it everyday while we were there too.
After that trip, whenever I chance upon that smell, my mind automatically goes back to Summer 2016 in Berlin, where we spent a few days in the beautiful city together. It’s beautiful, to know how our senses are interconnected and how they spark joy!
There, talking of that trip has somehow brought back memories of Berlin, and that smell too. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure!
