Today’s bloganuary prompt left me thinking for a while.
“Bold”, is a strong word with many dimensions. Living boldly is even more complex. At the outset, it may seem like living in the absence of fear. Being confident about everything. Being strong…
But I think living boldly is more nuanced than that.
In my opinion, living boldly means living with one’s head held high. A bold living does not mean the absence of fear. It is all about acknowledging fear, and tackling it. It is about being aware of adversities and moving ahead with a steely resolve to tackle them.
Living boldly is also all about vulnerability. Only a bold person can acknowledge their vulnerabilities to themselves, coexist with them.
To live boldly is hold your values close to your chest, to fight against the injustices of the world, and to love and support your fellow beings.
To live boldly is to make your life an example for the world.
If you want to learn about living boldly, check out this statement from the victim survivor of the actress attack case in Kerala, who proudly proclaims her steely resolve to stay bold.
More power to you. #avalkoppam

This post was written as part of the Bloganuary challenge of WordPress.com. Bloganuary is a month-long challenge, where bloggers are challenged to write a new blog post every day, based on a daily writing prompt. You will need a WordPress.com account to get the prompts, but you can blog on any platform of your choice – OR even journal privately. Oh btw, there is no bloganuary police – so you can pick your own prompts if you wish to!
